Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. In today’s blog, we will discuss how you can bring back the ‘Switch to classic’ option in Power Apps maker portal.
If you are accustomed to working in Maker portal, you will see the ubiquitous ‘Switch to classic’ option. The below illustration show the option for a solution in the maker portal.
However, in a customer environment we could no longer find the Switch to classic option. Microsoft has been working to gradually phase out the legacy UI and this is one more step in their bid to do that. The option of Switch to classic can now be controlled from the environment settings.
Navigate to Power Platform admin center and open the environment where you want to enable the ‘Switch to classic’ option.
Under Environment settings, click on Behavior.
Enable the toggle – “Show the Switch to classic buttons in Power Apps“
Save the settings. Reload the maker portal. You should now be able to load the see the ‘Switch to classic‘ button in Power Apps.
I strongly recommend to use the maker portal for all your needs. But yes, there are still some functionalities for which you need to switch to the classic UI. So if you are wondering, where is my option Switch to classic gone, this blog might just help you.
