{Solved} Dynamics 365 App for outlook missing from Sitemap in DataVerse/ Dynamics 365

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. In today’s blog I will discuss about an issue I encountered while enabling Dynamics 365 App for Outlook in a DataVerse environment.

Through my blog I share interesting tips and discuss on latest releases of Microsoft.NET technologies, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, SharePoint and Client scripting libraries. Please subscribe to my blog to stay updated.

Usually the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook is available under Advanced Settings -> Application -> My Apps. In fact Dynamics 365 App for Outlook option was also available directly from Sitemap.

However in this environment, there was no My Apps link under Application. The Dynamics 365 App for Outlook link under Settings was also missing. Under Application I could see Apps but when I click on Apps, Dynamics 365 App for Outlook is not in the list.

I even tried the direct link to access the app – https://<org>.crm.dynamics.com/tools/appsforcrm/AppForOutlookAdminSettings.aspx. When I tried this I received an error.

This is because Dynamics 365 App for Outlook now does not seem to be installed in DataVerse environment by default. You would now need to install it from Microsoft Appsource.

Click on ‘Get it now’ button. You will be redirected to a page where you need to choose your DataVerse environment where you want to configure App for Outlook.

Once you complete this step, you will be redirect to Dynamics 365 Apps section in Power Platform Admin center where you can track the progress of App for Outlook installation. Give it few moments to install.

Once it is installed, you should now be able to view Dynamics 365 App for Outlook under Apps in advanced settings.

You can now continue with the usual process of configuring Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

Hope this helped. For similar interesting topics on Microsoft.NET and Power platform, please subscribe to my blog.
