Welcome to all my readers. I am back with another blog on PowerApps. In this blog I am going to discuss about a new feature.
PowerApps has recently launched the support for images (image column) from SharePoint lists. If you have an Image column in SharePoint list and you want to display that in PowerApps, it is possible to do so now.
Below is a SharePoint list with an Image column – ItemPhoto
And below are the items inside a Gallery control in PowerApps.
But wait. While displaying the images from SharePoint List, are you facing the following problems?
- Images are blurred/ hazy or faded out when you show them inside a Gallery?
- Images become distorted when you display them in various sizes?
- You want to display the images in different resolutions?
Usually these problems are because of resolution. Power Apps now allow you to show SharePoint list images in four sizes – small, medium, large and full.
You can adjust the size of the image in Gallery as needed. For example if I want to display a large sized image, I can use the below formula
Similarly we can adjust the image size to small, medium and full. Also note that small sized image is of lesser resolution than the corresponding larger sized image options. So if you see the image is blurred or hazy, you can use the Large or the full sized image for clarity.
Hope this helped. You will also like the below posts.
