Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. In today’s blog I will show how you can embed a Power BI report in SharePoint.
Many a times we have a requirement to embed a Power BI report on SharePoint page. For this we choose the Power BI webpart available in SharePoint.
In the Power BI webpart, we need to provide the URL of the Power BI report
And here in comes the confusion. To take the Power BI report URL, we go to Share and then use the Copy link option to get the URL of the Power BI report.
However if we put the same URL in the URL field of the Power BI webpart, it will throw an error – ‘This isn’t a valid report link.’
To get the correct URL for SharePoint embedding, navigate to your Power BI report and then File -> Embed Report -> SharePoint Online
This will give you an embed link for SharePoint. Use the same URL in the URL field of SharePoint webpart and your Power BI report will render just fine.
