How to disable MFA when logging in to Power Platform trial tenants

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. In today’s blog, I shall walk you through the steps to disable MFA in your trial tenants.

The steps shown here is valid for any Azure tenant. However remember that disabling MFA for non-trial environments is strictly not recommended.

Coming back to the topic, when you provision a trial tenant of Power Platform, you need to configure MFA by default after 15 days. For trial environments it can be an overhead. After all, a trial environment is usually for POC’s and customer demo and may be used by more than one person. MFA in this case can be a bottleneck and you may wish to disable it.

So let’s see how we can do this. Login to Microsoft 365 administration center and look for ‘Azure Active directory‘ under Admin centers.

Click on ‘Azure Active Directory‘ and then click on Properties in the newly opened page.

Look for ‘Manage security defaults‘ as shown in the above screenshot. Set ‘Security defaults‘ to Disabled (not recommended) as shown in the below screenshot.

Save your changes. You should now be able to login to your trial environments without MFA.
