I am back with another blog on PowerApps and this time it’s on DataVerse.
The ability to audit record operation on dataverse is great! You can track the edits, creates and delete of records in dataverse using audit. But with this advantage, there comes a problem.
And the problem is with audit log storage. With time and depending on the data volume, the storage space increases manifold. Hence it is quite necessary to clear the audit log after a specified time.
The default audit log retention period is 30 days. But what if you could set a custom duration? Now you can easily accomplish the same using the Power Platform admin center. And this applies to Dynamics 365 Customer engagement environments as well as they are essentially DataVerse environments.
Navigate to Power Platform admin center -> Select your environment -> Click on Settings
Click on Audit Settings under Audits and Logs
And then you can select a custom duration from the list of available options.
Wonderful isn’t it? Hope this helped.
