Convert Word document to PDF using Power Automate flows

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Today’s blog is how to convert a word document to PDF using Power Automate flow.

Without further ado, let’s get started. I have word document uploaded in my SharePoint drive which I shall convert to PDF using Power Automate flow.

For this blog, I have created a flow with Manual trigger. To convert from word to PDF, add the Word Online (Business) connector and use the action – “Convert word document to PDF“.

Populate the parameters as per your environment.

The output of the action is base64 content in PDF format which we shall use in the next step to create the PDF document. In the next step I use the Create File action of SharePoint to create a PDF document.

As you can see in the above screenshot, we need to set the File Content to the PDF Document output from the previous action. Check for the below screenshot.

All set and done. Once the flow run successfully, the PDF document is generated.

Wonderful isn’t it. In just few steps we can covert a word document to PDF.
