This is a really quick one. And this is an error which you may face while trying to import an excel file in Dynamics 365/ CRM.
The problem with this error is you really don’t get to know the actual error. All you get is an error code. But not to worry. There is a place where you can actually check for all these error codes. And it is right here.
And if you open the link, you can see the error code right there in the list. As you can see the error happen when you try to import a record which no longer exist in Dynamics 365.
And usually this happen when you try to import an excel file which has been previously exported as ready for import. Below is a sample file which has been previously exported in that format. If you open the file and expand the columns A, B & C, you shall see the record GUID and checksum.
And when you use the same format and try to import it again, if any of the records does not exist in CRM, you will get that error.
How can you get rid of this error? You can save the file as .csv format and delete the columns A, B & C. And then change the column values and try to import. Everything should work fine.
